About the Event
Are you unsure what phrases to use to share your child's adoption story with them? Do you feel uncomfortable when your child starts to ask questions? Do you have an open adoption that, at times, complicates the conversations you are having? Join Erin Nasmyth, LCSW and adoption-competent therapist, and a group of fellow adoptive parents who are in the early stages of talking to their children about their adoption stories.
This group is designed to be both educational and supportive. Our intent is that you'll leave with greater confidence in having conversations with your child, tools to use in the conversations and a feeling that you are not alone! The conversations will not end in these 2 weeks; however, you will be equipped with additional resources and a community to build upon in the days and years to come.
The sessions will take place via Zoom on Wednesday, October 6 and Wednesday, October 13 from 7:30-9 PM. Please plan to attend both sessions!
